The Chill Out
Zone is a Healthy Living Centre for young people aged 12-20
living in West Lothian. Its aim is to improve the health and
well being of young people through the provision of a range
of "young people centred" health and development services,
including:
- Access to a multi
disciplinary staff team with backgrounds in health,
education and youth work, offering information, advice and
support with a range of health related issues.
- A health clinic offering
access to a range of confidential medical services
concerning young people's physical, emotional, mental and
sexual health.
- A health clinic offering
access to a range of confidential medical services
concerning young people's physical, emotional, mental and
sexual health.
- A drop-in service with
access to a range of information and advice from a range
of specialist workers and planned activities.
- Access to a cafe
providing light and healthy snacks and opportunities to
develop skills in food preparation and cooking.
- A structure for young
people's referral to specialist agencies
- Free access to a
computer suite and the internet
- A community resource
offering a unique setting for promotions and launches
- A confidential
counselling service
