Epilepsy West
Lothian provide a range of services for people who have
epilepsy, people with disabilities who have care needs,carers, families, professionals, education and
employers. Services
include:
- Community Support - one
to one support for people to develop their independent
living skills who have a community care need/assessment.
- Training & Information -
training provided in epilepsy awareness and administration
of emergency medication. Training packages can be tailored
to individual organisation needs.
- Outreach Service -
information. counselling, support provided on an
individual or family basis.
- Schools Project -
information and awareness talks on epilepsy awareness to
primary and secondary school children. Talks or training
can also be provided for teachers.
- Befriending service -
providing a befriender for people with epilepsy to give
social support and eliminate isolation.
