Family
Mediation Lothian aims to prevent damage resulting from
family break-up, principally emotional damage to children
and young people by:
- Providing information
and advice to separating parents
- Working with the courts
and solicitors to make mediation a ready alternative
- Bringing together
parents with a trained mediator to achieve agreement on
future parenting
- Providing centres where
parents can enjoy contact with their children
- Providing 'surviving the
breakup' groups for recently separated people
- Providing individual and
group support for children
