What is Get, Set, School?
Nursery to Primary 1 (N2P1) is a group work programme for
parents/carers whose children are making the
transition to primary school. The overall aim of
this programme is to create an early intervention
approach which will support parents/carers to gain
more confidence supporting their child during the
transition process into their first year at school,
enabling them to have an active role in their
child's school years and strengthen the home/school
partnership. To highlight the skills and
responsibilities parents/carers already have and
will continue to utilise throughout their child's
education and their own future development, whatever
they may be.
